Week 14

Yes, I skipped a week. Not too much has changed. I can't believe I'm in the 2nd trimester and haven't been too sick. Last week wasn't so great from my cough making my stomach sensitive and couldn't keep my breakfast in my stomach. Other than that, not much has changed. My stomach is tender below my belly button so I'm starting to notice a little change. That's pretty much it. My next goal is to start looking at baby names. I plan on working up until I go into labor and then I don't know what I'm going to do after that. I want to work but I think it's going to be almost impossible for me to work full time with a newborn plus Abby. Although I know people do it all the time, it's overwhelming just to think about it. I would be up a lot at night with the baby and then have to take Abby to school in the morning and then be to work. I'd have to get up extra early for everything I have to do so that I have enough time to feed the baby, get Abby ready and make myself look decent enough to walk out the door. Well, I'm looking at some options and have time to think it through I guess. My next doctors appointment is April 7th. Then after that on May 1st, we get to find out that Mr. Bean is in fact a Mister ;-)
Abby is excited because she has the date marked on her calendar with a boy and a girl and when we find out, she gets to come home and circle which one it is. I think she'll be a great big sister. She's like a mommy around babies, I think she'll be a huge help to me. She'll probably be jealous because she told me yesterday that she's happy but when the baby comes, I'll forget about her and won't love her anymore! I told her that I'll always love her no matter what and that she'll always be my #1. She was happy about that.

TALK TO YOUR BOSS!!!!! see what he's willing to let you do!! It's NOT too early to have this conversation with him, it's an important time to start planning and seeing what your options are as far as returning to work. See if he'll consider letting you come back only 2-3 days a week at first. Maybe if it's 2 days a week you could have Billy's mom babysit.
